Lions, White Tigers, and Bears...

Today the weather in GZ went from cool to cold and rainy. We noticed big changes in the hotel clientele this morning...it is PACKED with the first day of the "Canton Fair" or "Trade Days" as it is now known.
We, however, went to the Animal Safari. It has the largest population of white tigers and the oldest panda in the world. For about an hour it was not too bad. Then the rain came and it NEVER stopped. According to weather.com, it will continue to rain the rest of the time we are here...but should at least warm into the 60's and 70's as time goes on. The hotel supplies large umbrellas for our use while we are here, so luckily, that will not be another expense. But in spite of the umbrellas we were miserably cold and wet by the time we finished our tour...especially our feet. The boys were so cold they actually ASKED for a bath so that they could warm up. We are now sitting around in the room playing legos, reading books, and catching up on War College and blogs. In about an hour we will head out for an early dinner. Apparently, there is a terrific Italian restaurant within walking distance, so I think we will see how Enyi likes that. I was resistant at first, feeling like I was cheating on the opportunity to eat authentic Chinese...but I got over that on about day 5!
Great news on my dad. He went back to the doctor yesterday and received a great pathology report...all margins/borders of tissue removed were cancer free! Praise the Lord! Thanks to all for their prayers.
